After two and a half years of closure, the Cathedral is reopening to the public.

Despite the efforts and success of the association Autour de la Cathédrale de Jean Linard (ACJL), most heirs and institutions never believed in the project.

Our dream of buying the Cathedral collectively and making it a common never came true.

The site remained closed from the end of 2019. The ACJL association was dissolved in 2021.

A young couple finally succeeded in buying the Cathedral and the site has been open to the public again since 14 July 2022.

We are delighted that the Cathedral site is no longer abandoned and that the new owners have a real desire to preserve this place. We wish them every success!

The association Patrimoines irréguliers de France, which inherited the site's management tools from the ACJL association, remains open to any collaboration for the conservation of the works of art and the development of this monument.

This website is no longer the official website of the Cathedral. Nevertheless, we wish to keep it online to keep track of the work that a small association has been able to accomplish in 8 years, by welcoming more than 40,000 visitors and organising some thirty different events and numerous conservation actions.

As far as the former team of the association is concerned, part of it is very active in the association Patrimoine Irréguliers de France which was at the origin of the creation of ACJL and of the petition which made it possible to register the Cathedral in the inventory of Historic Monuments.

PIF works on the national territory, but is based in the Cher, in the third place Le Cercle in Rosières with an exhibition room of more than 150m2.
